Rivendell Sport Horses
Judging, Training, Coaching & Showing Arabians, Half-Arabians, all breeds of horses and all disciplines.
Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada
I have been judging horse shows for almost thirty years. My judging career started with an invitation from Peter Cameron to junior judge with him in 1989. I now have seven judging licenses: AHA National/Regional, EC Senior National Arabian and USEF Registered Arabian, EC Senior Basic dressage, recorded hunter, hack, hunt seat equitation and saddle seat equitation; and I am a lay-judge for long distance. I am a USDF “L” graduate, with distinction.
I have judged Canadian Arabian National, Youth Arabian National and U.S. Arabian National Championship Horse Shows.
I coach students to the FEI level in dressage as well as recreational trail riders. I coach riders in English and western disciplines and with all breeds. My students have many national championships, reserve championships and top tens.
My life with horses spans 45 years. My entire family is involved as my husband competes in endurance. Our daughter is an equine veterinarian who competes in endurance and dressage. Our son is our farrier, has paint & a quarter horses and loves to compete in cattle sorting. We have had fun trail nights at our farm through the summer months. Our son-in-law is a farrier and owns a quarter horse. Our daughter-in-law rides recreationally and our two granddaughters are up and coming riders.
My husband, David, and I have bred a few horses over the years, including the 2017 National Champion SHIH Yearling filly (SHN’s, Raleigh, NC). My Half-Arabian mare has her AHA Legion of Excellence and many accolades from the breed and open show world in third level dressage and sport horse, including two SHN’s top tens.
